Recently bought this because my much more expensive waterproof Mojawa ($159.99 according to their site) were just not good when wet due to the overly sensitive touch screen like "buttons". During a 2 mile ocean swim, modes were constantly changing when I turned my head to breath so I got caught on repeat and had to listen to "Gonna Fly Now" (Rocky Theme) 4 times in a row; which is not great when you are trying to keep your heart rate down. Even Rocky has a limit on number of hurting bombs he could throw. Additionally, there are multiple touch areas that do different things that is really hard to remember when you are knocking out yards.

Swim Nerd had solved this problem with a much more simple solution: BUTTONS!!!! Yes this MP3 has real buttons that don't get pushed when the wind blows a certain direction.... and you can feel them and they click. Real simple reliable operation and plenty of volume and NO REPEAT MODE :) ; just shuffle and sequential play. Very intuitive operation the front button controls volume up and skip forward; middle modes (bluetooth, SD, shuffle, sequential, on/off); back button volume down and skip back. It even has a microphone to have a phone conversation as well. As for volume: I used them whilst cutting grass with a loud 22 horsepower riding mower and blutetooth streaming a quiet audiobook (under hearing protection earmuffs) and sweating my face off (112 F heat index that day). No unexpected skips or volume changes. Get these for your long workouts or just for walking the dog and being able to hear cars.

For the price you really can't beat this. Sounds clear underwater and stays put well, just make sure to put your cap over it! Great customer service and a well described and easy set up.

I've had the Swimnerd Digital Pace Clock for about 5 years. I've moved locations and carried it with me. It's been through the ringer, but is still working perfectly. I love these clocks so much, I've even purchased the small personal clocks for my office for when I'm recording podcasts and Zooms to keep me on track.

I got one of these to try out with a summer league team I coached as we didn’t have pace clocks, and I wanted something affordable and very portable. It worked perfectly for our needs and budget! What I hadn’t planned for, and it worked perfectly for was the high school team I also coach for when we last minute moved our preseason workout pool and didn’t have a pace clock on-site there we could use. The kids said it was easily visible and being able to use my phone to manage it from the side (instead of having to regularly get it out of the case) was icing on the cake!

Our Swimnerd clock got hit by a power surge and stopped working. We had to rewire the outlet and a buy a new power adapter, But the clock only had seconds working. The minutes were showing 88. I contacted Nate at 8 PM and quickly diagnosed the clock was half dead and got a refurbished clock out for delivery. Two days later we’re are up and running again. Thanks NATE

The swimmers love the two synchronized Swim Nerd clocks that we have in our pool. Large readable numbers are clearly visible from lane one to six. If they ever become out of sync, which is extremely RARE, all we do is push the button a few times on the bottom and they are in sync again. They add a level of professionalism for the lap and competitive swimmers that was not present before.

Not only is the price point completely accessible for most everyone training in this space, far less than the exorbitant race fees athletes shell out each season, but the value is all there!

On our pool deck we currently have one large swimnerd digital pace clock, and based on my experience with this one, when it was time to grab a smaller one for personal travel, it was a no-brainer. Add to that, it was shipped with a suction grip piece that works well on so many different surfaces, including the Endless Pool I also coach athletes in.

Any time I encountered issues with any swimnerd device, Nate was on it, and made good on his full support of the product and all accessories.

When our analog pace clock finally goes, and it will, it is getting replaced with a second swimnerd digital.
I will be purchasing more swimnerd Personal Pace clocks as gifts for some of my athletes, too. The seamless link to the swimnerd app via Bluetooth(BLE) makes programming workouts so easy!

When it comes time to buy a new full function pace clock or other swim timing equipment you will be my first call.

We bought the pace clock and carrying case during the pandemic and it’s been used back-and-forth at least five days per week since then. The case held out for a long time and finally needed replacing. I think that’s an entirely appropriate length of time for something that gets taken back-and-forth from home to car to pool and back every day. It’s also nice looking!

Works great! Nice to have at the pool, and able to program my workouts before hand.

I recently bought this pace clock and it’s perfect. As long as it’s not bright inside and there is little to no sun in the windows I can read at 25 yards. For a gym or if you do your own sets or show up late this is a game changer
