Katie Robinson is the Director of Swimming at Northwestern University where she leads both programs. Coach Robinson was just named to her first Team USA coaching staff, being named an Assistant Coach for the Duel in the Pool.
Northwestern qualified 15 athletes (9 Women, 6 Men) for NCAA Championships last year. The Women finished 18th, the Men 32nd.
Her coaching experience prior included positions at the University of Pacific, Rutgers, Virginia, and Tulane where she got to learn from some of the best coaches in the world.
As an athlete, she swam at Texas where she was a 3x Big 12 Champion in the 200 Fly.
"There's plenty of head coaches that are men that coach women's programs and there's no question about can they handle a women's program so I'd love to change the narrative..of course women can coach men... " - Katie Robinson
