Episode #94 Chuck Batchelor
Chuck Batchelor is the Head Coach of the Bluefish Swim Team in Massachusetts. Bluefish is known for producing top level 400 IMers; most notably, Olympic silver medalist, Elizabeth Beisel.
Coach Chuck is easy to spot on pool deck, as seen in pictures from Rafael Domeyko in this episode's artwork. When a Bluefish swimmer is in the water, donning his Crocs, he walks up and down pool deck cheering them on. As you can probably tell, Coach Chuck is fun to be around.
In this episode Chuck and Brett think differently about training volume, the characteristics of a great 400 IMer, and the fart machine that brought him and Elizabeth closer together.
Enjoy!
