Katie Ledecky is the most dominant woman in swimming. Actually, she’s the most dominant swimmer on the planet, regardless of her gender.
That being said, Katinka Hosszu had a dream year and is the SWIMNERD Female Swimmer of the Year!
Olympic Champion in the 100 Back, 200 IM, and 400 IM. Runner up in the 200 Back. Plus, a new World Record in the 4 IM.
Katinka made bookoo bucks throughout the FINA World Cup: $386,750 to be exact. She also took down the remaining Hungarian SCM records. Hosszu now owns ALL of them.
Last but not least, at SC World Champs in Windsor, she was head and shoulders above the competition, winning 7 Gold (100 and 200 Back, 100 and 200 Fly, 100/200/400 IM) and 2 Silver (50 Back and 200 Free).
Plus, she got to travel all over the world. She raced a combined 517 times in the following countries:
USA, France, Spain, China, Luxembourg, Norway, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Italy, England, Monte Carlo, Russia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Brazil, Canada, and Hungary.
